Some mornings, Kaitlin Jorgenson travels 544 miles to get to a job she'll be at for 72 hours. Although Jorgenson was ready to leave New York, she didn't want to give up the career she had built there. All in all, Jorgenson estimates she would spend a minimum of $4,000 each month to live and work in Manhattan. Moving to Charlotte, Jorgenson estimates, has saved her at least $2,000 each month — commuting expenses and all. During the weeks she's not in New York, Jorgenson works part-time at Superbloom Hair Studio in Charlotte, a job with flexible hours that change depending on Jorgenson's appointment schedule.

George Kurtz, CEO of cybersecurity company CrowdStrike , spoke with CNBC's Jim Cramer on Wednesday about the company's focus on automation and the use of generative artificial intelligence to launch Charlotte AI, a "virtual security analyst." "Generative AI is a new type of artificial intelligence, and essentially Charlotte AI is our, is our virtual security analyst," Kurtz said. Kurtz explained that Charlotte AI can help automate the duties of a security operations center (SOC) analyst, or someone who deals with cybersecurity duties on a day-to-day basis. The program is intended to lessen mundane work that analysts perform, turning tasks that may have taken hours into ones that take only minutes, he said. According to Kurtz, analysts can have conversations with Charlotte AI and ask questions about security threats in the environment, how it applies to their industry, what assets are at risk, how to fix those assets — and even create a report about the situation.

☆ Delta passengers exit their flight using the jet slide after the plane lands without gear extended

Passengers aboard a Delta flight had to disembark using the jet slide Wednesday after their plane landed at Charlotte Douglas International Airport without part of its landing gear extended. An inflatable slide extends from a door of the plane and firefighters appear to be helping passengers disembark on the slide. "While this is a rare occurrence, Delta flight crews train extensively to safely manage through many scenarios and flight 1092 landed safely without reported injuries." Controllers saw that the nose landing gear doors were open, but the gear hadn't descended and the pilots landed the plane without the nose gear. Less than four hours after the landing, Skotarczak, the passenger from Buffalo, was at work, but only with his cellphone and a bottle of water.
